How to cancel Apple TV+ (now called Apple TV)

Short answer

Apple renamed Apple TV+ to Apple TV in October 2025; the subscription and how you cancel it are the same. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Apple TV and tap Cancel Subscription. If you're on the free offer that came with a new Apple device, canceling ends your access immediately, so set a reminder for the day before it renews instead.

Apple TV+ or Apple TV?

They're the same streaming service. Apple announced in October 2025 that “Apple TV+ is now simply Apple TV,” and its support pages now say the same. Older receipts and articles still use the old name; this guide uses Apple TV.

It's a different thing from the Apple TV 4K box and from the Apple TV app, which also shows channels and purchases from other companies. Canceling the subscription doesn't affect either.

Cancel Apple TV on iPhone

  1. Open Settings and tap your name. In Settings, tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions. Tap Subscriptions to see what Apple bills you for.
  3. Tap Apple TV. Tap the Apple TV subscription. If you have Apple One, tap that instead.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. You might need to scroll down to find the button.

If there's no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red text, Apple says the subscription is already canceled.

When Apple TV isn't in your Subscriptions list

Free trials: cancel carefully

There are two kinds of Apple TV trial, and one of them punishes canceling early.

So for a device offer, don't cancel on day one. Note the renewal date shown in Settings › Subscriptions and cancel a day or two before it.

After you cancel, and refunds

Remember the renewal date without canceling early

The device offer is the awkward case: cancel too early and you lose months of free streaming, too late and you're charged. In Subs, add Apple TV as a free trial with its end date and you get a reminder before it converts, showing what it will cost afterwards. When you're ready, the cancel card opens Apple's subscriptions list directly.
